Concealed Carry Permits
Under Rhode Island General Law §11-47-11, individuals may apply to local authorities for a license or permit to carry a concealed pistol or revolver. The Middletown Police Department provides background check investigation services for Concealed Carry Permit applicants.
Applicants may also apply for a concealed carry permit through the State of Rhode Island Office of The Attorney General.

Application Process
All applicants must complete a Middletown Concealed Weapon Permit application. Completed applications will be submitted to the Middletown Police Department Detective Division.
The fee is payable by cash or check. Credit or Debit cards are not accepted. If paying with a check, make it payable to the ‘Middletown Police Department’. Make sure your current address and phone number are written on the check.
